These old world style shadow box displays with dark and creepy themed specimens that look like they are straight out of a Gothic Victorian Edgar Allen Poe novel setting. The Naturalist Charles Darwin was a huge influence in the trend of displaying framed insect specimens. Most Gothic Victorian homes had butterfly and insect specimens on display.
Our old world parchment backing includes the species name and country of origin printed directly on the front of each display. The remainder of our displays have the species name and country of origin printed on a label attached to the back of each piece.
